Meet The Team

Sam Russ Jr is an Alpha Man of distinction, husband, father, son, brother, uncle, godparent, friend, veteran, but most importantly, a child of God. By profession, he has over 21 years in facilities management. He received his undergrad at Prairie View A&M in business and has a Master's in Transformational Leadership from Barclay College. His passion to serve and empower our youth pairs perfectly with the mission of Coach Sam. In his limited spare time, Sam likes to listen to audiobooks, cook, sing and vicariously watch youth play the games he fell in love with as an adolescent.

John Butler is a native of New Orleans, LA currently living in VA.  

Married to my teenage crush for 37 years and a father of two adult daughters.  

Ordained minister, motivational speaker, Inspirational life mentor and podcast host.

A national gospel and Jazz artist, music composer and producer.

I am the owner of Rob's Lawn Care, and I have worked in Construction Management for over 20 years.

I have also served as a Minister of the Gospel for the last 26 years. I had the great honor and privilege  to be coached by The Great,  Coach Samuel Russ Sr. He has had a passion for the development of children threw sports for over 40 years. A great part of my development into leadership can be attributed to the seeds Coach Sam has sown into me on that playground. 

My Resume includes Banking, Construction Management and retail management.

Hello my name is Carlos Crutch, and I retired July 1, 2020 from the State of Oregon Department of Human Services(ODHS) -Children, Families and Adults, after a 30 plus year career, working directly with families as well as manager of several key program areas within the Child Welfare Program. 

Additionally as a Principle Executive Manager it required me to demonstrate the ability to lead, and to inspire collaborations that support and advance the overall mission of the Department of Human Services. I believe that I had a successful record of creating and maintaining strong relationships and partnerships throughout the organization’s hierarchy, within the local community/stakeholders and with our client-customers. 

Managing frontline workers required working closely across disciplines and other programs to maximize the use of resources with a focused goal of enhancing the service experience and outcomes for client-customers. As a manager within the Department of Human Services (DHS), it should be noted that there is a tremendous amount of responsibility placed on its management system to help achieve and maintain identified benchmarks and advancing practice and policy. I look forward to bringing my knowledge, skills and abilities to join forces with Coach Sam, the Executive Board and stakeholders in creating and communicating the organization’s vision and mission, and functioning as a champion-ambassador. 

On a personal level, I am a husband, father and grandfather. I enjoy spending time with family, cooking, fishing, gardening, working on classic cars and volunteering with both secular and faith-based organizations.
